In today’s society, having an open mind is becoming increasingly important. Embracing an open attitude can help us navigate the complexities of our times and create a more harmonious society. Openness means that we are willing to share ideas and ideas to critically examine beliefs, especially our own; to recognise that knowledge is never fixed. By being open to new ideas and willing to reconsider firmly held beliefs we keep growing. [1]

“And then there is the eye-catching left wall. René Bosch asked if Sjimmie Veenhuis wanted to put this together. Initially the idea was to only hang the works of Veenhuis, but Sjimmie chose to ask two artist friends from Groningen to participate.” [2]

“It is fascinating what visual effects the artists are able to achieve by using tape in their works. Sjimmie Veenhuis: ‘My work is very much about painting, although it is not painting. But just as with painting I also apply transparent layers on top of each other, by using tape. I found it to be interesting to create a combination with two painter friends. In the work to the far left there is an arrow, which serves as a starting point. That arrow points right through the center of all the works, that alignment was carefully considered.” [2]
